FRANK HERRMANN
He is regarded as one of the outstanding photojournalists of the latter part of the twentieth century and has photographed many of the leading players of his age, including amongst others, Orson Welles, Sean Connery, Winston Churchill, Jackie Kennedy, Harold Macmillan, Richard Harris, Ronald Reagan, Arthur Miller, Henry Moore and Luciano Pavarotti, as well as his “lost session” of The Beatles, shot during the making of the Sergeant Pepper recording of 1967. He has covered stories as diverse as The UDI in Rhodesia in 1966, The Paris Riots of ’68, The Yom Kippur War of ’73, The Presidential Elections (Jimmy Carter) of ’75 and the birth of Zimbabwe in 1980. He now divides his time between London and Suffolk and works exclusively through Getty Images. His many books include Great Britain- A Celebration. With Geldof in Africa and Portrait Photography.
